Cross Stitch Exchange

I recently entered my first Cross Stitch Exchange to make a Christmas Ornament. I decided to stitch "Joy to the World" by Little House Needleworks, I love their ornaments and charts and am inspired by their lovely finishes. I was very pleased with the result and hope the recipient was too.
As this was my first exchange I decided to enclose a small gift of 4 satin threads from my stash and a little plaque with a homely greeting all wrapped up with a handmade gift tag.
I posted my parcel well in advance of the deadline as it was going to Canada, but sadly have not received any feedback to say if it arrived safely or if it was liked.
I am satisfied that I completed all that was required of the exchange and in the spirit it was intended, just to know it had arrived would have been appreciated.
I looked forward to receiving an ornament with great excitement and was not disappointed.
I received a lovely beaded ornament from Laura. The beads were a lovely shade of blue which happens to be my favourite colour and so could not have been any more appropriate.
Thank you Laura, I will treasure my first exchange ornament x
This first experience has not put me off and will look forward to participating again in the new year.

  1. They're all lovely things hun :0)

  2. Beautiful ornaments. The postal service at this time of year is unbelievably slow, hopefully you'll hear soon that it has arrived.

  3. Your sent and received ornaments are beautiful. Fingers crossed that you hear back very soon from your partner. I know it can be so frustrating.
